Off to Vegas this weekend for our annual trip. Pretty much about Blackjack, NFL, a couple of good meals, and some lounges at night. I was wondering if any of you seasoned veterans, could answer a couple of questions for me and save me hours of my life trying to find this stuff out on line.
Lounges- I like the Voodoo, The Ghost Bar, Foundation Room etc. All good spots, but of course the one common denominator is the dance music, blaring in my ears. I am just curious if there is a spot to have a cocktail, that might throw in some rock music once in awhile. I looked on line and saw that perhaps the First Food lounge at the Venetian, might be like this. Has anyone been there?
Also as they are new, since the last time I was there, just curious if Todd's English Pub or the Twist are decent places?
Food- Two of my most memorable meals in Vegas have been at Craftsteak and N9ne, so I'm sure we will be hitting up one of those, but I always like to try something new. Is Joe's Stone Crab a good spot? Anywhere else in the Venetian or Palazzo you would recommend? I did go to Lavo last year and really enjoyed it.
Lastly, is U.S. Thanksgiving typically busy in Vegas or on the quieter side?
Thanks in advance.

Thanksgiving is a "crap shoot"...we always expect it to be slow, so hard to tell...especially the restaurants...
Todd's has had up and down service issues....
Off the Strip....call Rosemary's and see what they're doing. Still the best American restaurant in Las Vegas.....California Casual
The problem with restaurants like Joe's is that they can be weak on holiday periods.....moreso with the staff and who's in the kitchen....the food is always as good as the original Joe's; but the other problems can be there....the senior staff usually is off with their family....
