UCK does South Point rank #2 in the Vegas Sportsbook section?
Is this some kind of joke? Are they just checking to see if people look at it?
I mean, 300 seats, and it's better than THE HILTON?

Hawk...
Further reflection on this.....
Personally, when I am looking at lines and possibly shopping..I always check out The South Point....last year, Super Bowl was a great example.....and...
as I firmly believe.....A sportsbook is NOT about the tvs and seating and FREE BOOZE. It's about the lines/juice..period.
Others may differ...especially non-locals who don't know the town; but I NEVER stay in a sportsbook to watch a game...unless I am very certain that I will be playing a second half...AND, even then, I would rather be nearby....like the new Sporting House at NY-NY...rather than IN the sportsbook....just does not do it for me.

Vegas, I'm really not concerned with lines/juice (to a point). You live there, I don't. I'm a visitor. To me a sportsbook IS about tvs and seating and free booze. To me, there is nothing more fun than a bunch of people watching a bunch of screens, 1/2 yelling for one team, 1/2 yelling for the other.............
Is the Sporting House a great place for viewing?

Understand completely.....that's why I drew the distinction between "local" and tourist...
The Sporting House is the old ESPN Zone....with upgraded hdtv's (130 of them), some largescreens, and a better menu.....
The restaurant area...tables/booths, both downstairs and upstairs, usually charges $15 per person per hour when the games are on....ESPN Zone used to do that to....It discourages people from having one beer and no food and taking up space....The bars do not charge anything however...and also have video poker....The $15 charge applies to food and drinks, so it's not too difficult to eat and drink that much during a game....All the games are on the tv's and the main game has the sound turned up....
I like it better than Lagasse Stadium...pricewise....and the sportsbook, which never has lines at the windows, is 15 feet outside the entrance....
