How easy is it to get a room comp in Vegas? What are the best ways to get a comp.

It's very easy to get a comp room in Vegas...just lose as much money as possible and make sure you have a players card. Seriously, the longer you play and more you risk the better.

kinda defeats the object, you'll end up paying for the room and then some,

better idea is to dress very smartly and ask to speak to a casino host and feed them some BS story about this company u own, buddies coming into town, bit of charm and that should do it.

can you get a room comp by sports betting? and how much roughly would you have to bet per game?

I have gotten comped rooms in Vegas/New Orleans/Tunica for years

I always stay and play at Harrahs

Actually, for my next trip, they are covering not only the room but also airfare for me and a buddy from Atlanta

Playing the Sportsbook does nothing IMO they dont rate those plays......so it doesnt matter

Just play at one hotel and ALWAYS use your card and you should get at a minimum some kind of food or room comp

Just play black jack and win and drink and tip the dealer and waitresses well and the manager will comp you to try and get the money lost back!

Getting room comps are not easy. You have to play A LOT for them to consider giving you a room. It will help a great deal if you are losing too instead of winning. It also depends on the level on casino you are gambling at. A smaller casino or a local one will give you things easier than a major Strip casino will.

I guess it really depends on how much you play per bet and for how long. Last time I was out there, I REALLY gambled ALOT.

Thats how I got hooked up with the airfare junket and rooms this time around

Thanks guys. This will be my 2nd time going. First time I was comped at Bellagio for about 2 weeks, what an amazing place Bellagio is. I was playing bacarrat with Johnny Chan. I'm comped my first weekend at Aria just because of my play from Bellagio, but I don't bet like I used too, so I'm guessing it won't be as easy to get comped for the other days I'm going to be there. I'll probably talk to a host at Bellagio and see if they can do something else but I won't hold my breath.

Get casino player cards use everywhere.
Sports betting get less comps then everything
First trip most likely wont get comped but could used
what you earned of bill at checkout.
Then you will get offers in mail for free or greatly reduced rooms
then use comps earned to pay whats left.

really hard for sports gamers, hard to even get a drink ticket at most books, much less a comp room

I got plenty of free drinks at the Mirage and Casaers 2 weeks ago.. and I didn't stay there ..

Played some Blackjack at MGM and Harrah's and was offered a 2 night stay the next time I visit ..

I don't stay anywhere there is a casino, and I don't use any players cards, and I would never accept comps.

Why would you want any of these people to know your name, especially if you are taking their $.

MGM grand family of casinos really took care of me, they seem to be really good with the comps. Second weekend they gave me weekend free at Mirage with $150 free food, $275 in free money to gamble with and two tickets to lion king 5th row. By the time I came back, I had already received a flyer from Bellagio for almost the same thing.

Mandalay requires and average of 200 a hand for 4 hours to score a regular room for 1 day
400 an hour for 4 hours for a suite.

You can also get the same rating by cutting $$$$ Per hand in half, if you increase to 8 hours at tables.

If you play multiple hands ( 2 hands @ 100 per ) that counts as a 200 per hand

You can easily get a room by sports betting. It really depends on where you go. Downtown 1k are bigger bets. On the strip 2 to 3k are the bigger bets. Normally a bunch of 300 and over size wagers will get you comp.

I disagree 100%, Sports gets you almost zero comps as a vistitor. Also downtown takes as much sportsbetting as uptown. But the casinos for the most part suck. Go somewhere like elcortez or plaza, Golden nugget, even binions they all take decent action in sports. Half the time the casino doesnt even own the sportsbook downtown anymore. It is franchised out.

But back to your original point the casino/hotel as far as comps go could not care less about sports bettors. Horses yes, sports no.

johnny83 hit the nail on the head. casinos do not give a shit about sports bettors. a $500 straight bet will earn $1 of comp, so only the bettors wagering thousands of $$$$ will be considered for rooms. horse comps are generous b/c the race books have a high profit margin compared to the sports side.

I have had good luck at the Orleans. It is from playing slots. Get a players card and you can go online to their website it's called bconnected. You can login and see offers. I Get a room comp at least once a month and sometimes they throw in food credits. Also think their slots pay out a lot better than most places.
