I think you did good with the upgrade.Last time I stayed in Venezia Tower it was a pain to get to casino floor.2 different elevators and long walks.Took 2 days to finally get it right and not get lost,Straight or sober.A security guard posted by one of the elevators did nothing but point out directions for lost and frustrated people.Crazy..
Last year they were booked up at the V and ended up at the Palazzo,very nice..
