Around the week of christmas I placed serveral second half wagers on a certain NBA game. After winning the wager, I went to cash my tickets at which point the Las Vegas Hilton refused to pay the winnings and only offered a refund. They said the game had already started, but remember, they did take my wagers and had i lost i would had thrown the tickets away and not thought twice about it (they claimed they would refund losers, despite not posting it anywhere).
So, the following day I went to the gaming commission and filed a complaint against them. The case is still being investigated and i should find out the results within the next 10 days.
It gets better...
After having spoke to the agent handling my case, he told me that i could go to the hilton and receive my refund since the gaming commission had copies of my tickets and if i win the case they will send me a check for the winnings. So following the conversation with the agent, I proceeded to the hilton to get my refund.
I gave my tickets to the ticket writer at which point he called over the manager, the manager took the tickets to the back and came back after a minute or so. He asked me if i'd mind waiting 10-15minutes til after 4pm because he was busy and was the only manager working (i clearly saw two other managers with him). I told him i'd prefer not to wait since they had already inconvienced me enough and the agent from the gaming board had said there would be no problems...he said "well you're gonna have to wait anyways." I told him if that was the case i was prepared to call the gaming commission immediately to come down and handle it. He then went to the back and came right back and told the ticket writer to pay me. The manager then proceeded to tell me i was not welcome back and was 86'd, i replied with "that's fine, i didnt plan on coming back", he followed it up with "you better not let me see you here ever again!" and i told him the threats were unneccesary as i was just trying to get my money and leave...right before i walked away he said very loudly (there were 4 lines of people waiting to put in bets because the games were about to start) "you're nothing but a THIEF!" i told him was going to handle this with the control board because his threats and slander were unnecessary.
I have left some certain details out because the case is still under investigation, but thought i should give others a heads up if you plan on betting at the Las Vegas Hilton.
Any questions or input os appreciate

That is completely unacceptable in my opinion! I hope you see this thing through to end and see to it that you get what your are owed and then maybe some more for all the bullshit that you had to deal with.

I have only had good experiences at the Hilton and it's one of my main places to do business at. Not to derail this thread, but you can also cash out in the gambling area, if the book is closed, and this can possibly be easy in these types of cases.
If accurate then I hope you win your case! Do you use a players card with them? The question has been asked about the amount of the bet, but did they have you fill out any paper work when you placed your wager? This would only occur if the bet was actually a large amount of money.
