my system rule is like take the point for insurance just to get my money back. but i also bet the money line too. if pittsburg win i win both bet.

Pitt has won 56.5% (13-10) of their games outright as a dog, why pay that high juice when the value is the other way? Actually you have much better value doing a reverse run line and taking the Pirates -1.5 runs. They are 12-10 as dogs winning by 2 or more.
