If you stay at Hooters, you will not like Aria.
This is a highly "technical" environment...the rooms are the most hi-tech in the country, even the slot machines are tied into the ventilation system (this is the biggest "green project" in the country.
The Sportsbook has little-to-no "feel" to it....the area is arranged more for people who want to watch the games than bet on them.
You will also find the food, both here and in Crystals, to be way above average in cost..only Mastro's gets a good review (and it's average tab is $100 per person)....
The entire CityCenter complex built by MGM Mirage & their partner in the Mideast was made to appeal to major money and to be the "opposite" of what people expect from Vegas.
I am not bashing Aria/CityCenter...only commenting on it factually. Personally, I believe in it and feel that this will be the future of LV....but many, many years down the road.
To add one more thing to cute's comment, which I agree with......
This is NOT a "Hooters crowd"....with the rare exception of a March Madness time or Super Bowl...if you act like you are at a Frat Party with your buddies, security will be right behind those "hot" cocktail waitresses.
PS...The hottest ones?....at The M Hotel & Casino....They were chosen for how they looked and not for experience and get weighed every month....lots of silicone.
Stayed in a sky suite there on new years. Rooms are very high tech but very cold. Did not like the feel of the place and I was lost the entire time. Never knew where I was in the damn place. Poker room had 2-5 going, not even 5-10 NL which is really lame for a big weekend like new years.
Probably wont stay there again
