Can anyone on here from experience give me some insight on the subject of opening an account offshore as a U.S. resident.
I am wanting to hear opinions on the best countries and banks to do so in, but am having trouble making it happen.
I would love to here a testimonial on someone who has done this and accomplished it with success.
I am wanting to open an account in either canada, switzerland , or cyprus , but am not quite sure how to go about it and would love to hear from someone who has. I appreciate the future responses.

If you have a bank account in USA, should have no problem opening a bank account in any of the countries listed online. I have accs in Swithzerland Cyprus and Luxemburg and have debit cards from there as well that I use to trade with regulated company (optionrally who are regulated and in Cyprus). Go online to the bank you chooese and leave the details or feel them out if available (USB in Switzerland, Laiki in Cyprus). Keep posting here and I will explain you how if you can'rt. Funding the accounts is no problem and it is easy to withdraw through them. When having an account there - you transfer to non european depositors section on optionrally and take it further by notifying them your name and swift transfer code

I suggest all who are just scaring the people with feds - there's no "I think" involved here but a law. And any US resident or Citizen has a right to live abroad or have a bank account abroad. We're not in North Korea. Yet

14all , where do you reside?
I'm looking into the Laiki bank of Cyprus, and which account would you recommend?
Looking at the current account with/without limit, is this what you would recommend?
also, do you have vpn software to trade from the u.s. with optionrally.
