You may be the exception to the rule. I would seriously doubt a majority of the posters here have a significant investment plan. I could be wrong lol...

I was simply joking that the OP seemed shocked this forum was dead.

I simply use the Iphone STOCKS app for links to multiple wire releases on stocks I track. Personally, I find it a great tool to that links any current news on stocks I am invested in and dabble in. As a small investor in the stock market, I only dabble. I track stocks I own and am interested in. The links usually spawn from Bloomberg links, Yahoo finance, Business Week, and Business Wire. From there you can basically search all internet reports...

No use in taking a gamble on stocks lately-I'm up so much past 2 years on my investments it's

Stock trading is a lot more complicated, and a lot less fun than sports betting. You also don't have to worry about paying uncle Sam at the end of the year.

Blue chips are doing so well right now that it almost isn't worth it to take any kind of gamble. I shoulda figured that out 6 months ago

There's one really knowledgeable poster in these forums, and I think his name is WallStreetCappers, but in my opinion, he's a bit risk averse.

It's very safe and logical to only buy good companies that are doing well. To take a chance on a company that isn't doing so well is a risk that many general investors won't do.

Taking a chance on distressed companies is something that Carl Icahn does, and does well.
