How high can GOOG go?

I was thinking of investing 10k in google....Maybe pickup 11 shares ahead of google glass being released in a few months and all the profits pouring in..

What do you guys think? How high can it go? Will it ever split?

Well past 1,000 that's for sure. And no, it will never split. I currently own 100 shares around $300 a share. I don't plan to sell anytime soon. Good luck!

you'd get a nice chunk roi. until msft figures garbage out, and until people realize the security risks, goog continues to lead tech.

I like Google as a company. Innovative and what not. If they can get Google Fiber off the ground the skys the limit. Smart tv's will make Youtube a must see website.

This is the 1st I've heard of google fiber. I just checked it out and it looks amazing. Like you said, If they can get this off the ground, then the sky is the limit. I would def get it.

Google will never split. They have said it numerous times. It's not even a question. Google fiber has been developing for some time under the radar and should be a huge splash. Microsoft stands no chance against Google. None.

i love goog, and i don't want to be the downer, but whats all the hype with google fiber? its also the first i've heard of it, but my first reaction is, how is it different from google tv which was out a few years ago... i remember being at a bestbuy testing it out, and i didn't think it was user friendly.

Looks like Google will split later this year but offer "c" class shares so Larry Page and Sergey Brin can retain 56% of ownership and remain in control. The newly issued "c" class shares will not have voting power.

I think it's also important to ask , "how low can it go?". Inflated stocks with lot's of hype carry very high expectations. Even modest performance can lead to a fall. Risk vs return ratio is high. Saw some of this today. Remember Apple.

you're absolutely correct about assessing hype. but $goog isn't the company that the hype can hype about. $goog and $aapl are companies with different products.

I'm looking at this company and their value...I think they are undervalued. Google is still a young company.

I know I'll prob get laughed at but t wouldn't surprise me if this stock in 2-3 years blew past $1500 on its way to $2000 a share without splitting.

AAPL Split 3 times and found itself over $700 a share for a short time.

I by no means am or claim to be a financial adviser. I just keep thinking this is the best short term (6 mo) and long term (10 yr) company in the world.

If anyone knows of a better one please do share.

I'm still bullish on Goog. Even with the ad sales declining ... these guys still have new products in their pipeline that can impact their future growth. They're announcing something tomorrow regarding this topic .... kinda interested to see what they say.

1ooo$ seems like a truck pull back at that spot. but who knows. could be trading at 880 within 6 months...

I've been seeing lots of articles and blurbs about Google.

Youtube is looking at doing original programming.

Now that people are hooked on Android, they'll stop sharing it to increase sales of their own tablets and phones (and Google TV), and become a giant in the hardware business. They'll not only steal customers from Samsung and HTC etc..But more importantly from Apple.

They're not afraid to swing and miss in several fields, which I like because it increases the chances of hitting a home run. And I like that they're not a company that lives or dies by the next generation of a widget.

It's not hype to say that Google is the future.
