Pretty good at first glance until you see how much gold, silver, gasoline sugar and wheat were up.

Really? Except it doesn't seem to me that prices on most stuff is higher, at least not yet. Where's the inflation?

I guess if you take out energy prices and food prices inlfation is not that apprent. But, that's like saying if I don't breath in toxic air it can't poison me.

Prices of imported good continue to move higher as the greenback weakens, the only thing not going up seems to be home values.

well, inflation needs a vehicle. Like a job recovery or an uptick in people taking on more debt. But it's not as simple as you not noticing prices on most stuff being higher, food price inflation has been roaring over the past five years, i was comparing some of my price lists from work with (staple ingredient) foods price per lb, lot of items is up almost 100% in just five years

. Go to the grocery store and they mask this by obscuring the unit size,,,,,if 30 oz box of rice crispies was 3.99 and now a 20 oz box is 3.99, you are paying significantly more (50%) for the same item but as a consumer you get duped and think the price tag is the same

energy and food prices are certain to rise, energy is a tough cost to put your finger on because you can't really factor in 1 trillion dollars worth of government intervention in the oil trade thru the war machine with the price you pay at the pump.

Im thinking the market corrects, because there is no volume support through Oct. ethier. There is something wrong with the market and what the Fed is doing with it. Usually a top would happen when a high volume and low price bust is display. There is no volume yet it has support, but by looking at the market today that tells something is wrong when it went up and down than flat. Undecided !
