Crypto exchange choice

 I'm interested in opening an acct. somewhere. I tried Kraken like 5 years ago & it never got processed. They wanted a bunch of info up front, then about 2 weeks later they wanted more. It seemed like a scam. I think they called them "wallets" back then, I don't really remember other than getting frustrated.

 What do you experienced crypto guys use?

They¡¯re all a pretty big pain in the ass and will want a bunch of information. 

It really depends on what you¡¯re buying. If it¡¯s just bitcoin you can try something like Strike.

Coinbase has high fees and they¡¯re also a pain in the ass to get started but they have a decent selection and they¡¯re safe. What I personally do is go from my bank account to Coinbase and then from Coinbase to KuCoin or Uniswap. I¡¯m not balls deep in crypto anymore so things might have changed over the last couple of months but that¡¯s my suggestion.

 Thanks detox. I'm not interested in anything more, right now, than to have the ability to access that market. My initial thought would be to buy a few thousand "units" of something like dogecoin & just sit on it to see where it goes. Back when I first tried, I was going to grab Ethereum @ a few dollars/unit.

I would look at a crypto by their market cap and not by price per unit. 

Doge being $0.14 is misleading because the market cap of Doge is $19 billion. But then again, Elon is involved with Doge and anything can happen. 

If you go the CB route please consider using CB Pro.... fees are much less.  Gemini is pretty user friendly, not as good fees though.
