Bought it at 4.18 and it's still looking pretty sexy.
Should I dump it and keep the earnings or hang on?
Thanks for the input fellas. Embarassing loss for us last night Revis.
Treasury selling 2.4 billion common shares of it and I think it's open season. Thinking of buying an additional 300 shares.

my 2 cents... keep it long term, and buy more. at 4.18 a share, you probably made a relatively small investment ($418 + brokerage fees, $836 + fees, whatever the case may be)... depending on how many shares you bought. I own many shares of C and the way I look at it.... the stock was going for $60 pre market crash (07, 08), and banks can only go higher. Obv, it won't go back to $60 anytime soon... but, banks will start making profits again and now they are out from under the thumb of the government (as you mention in regards to the treasury selling remaining shares). I'd keep buying more at under $5 and wait it out for the long term (ie, probably 3-5 years).... again, 100 shares at 4.and change is under 500 dollars! Not talking about life and death money. Good luck!

Thanks Niner.
I've invested over 25% of my paycheck since I started this post and I intend on doing the same with my next one come this Friday.
Each share is now worth $4.31. Analysts are projecting it to climb to over $5.50 a share a year from now.
I can only hope because I got pretty beat up with sports wagering this year.

Maybe we do see 7 in a years time... Standard and Poors just revised their target after the treasury dumped remaining shares, revised to $6 in 12 months.
Obv in my previous post I will probably get bashed for my reference to the $60 mark pre market crash, because again by no means do I think it'll hit that in even 5 years (or anyone for that fact), but I was just saying.
Stock market is just legalized gambling.... gotta love it.

agree with some of the posters but the bottom line is that it is a top 3 bank in the US and world depending on how you look at it and whether there is dilution or not at the moment, in the future it will be significantly higher....yes, they have to buy back shares, yes, they have to trim some of the "fat" so to speak and realign their business practices to maximize efficiency and profitability and yes that will take some time..... also, keep in mind that above $5, institutions that otherwise could not purchase shares can start to accumulate them i.e. foundations/hedge funds/RIAs/money managers/etc, this could bolster the stock as well....
i'm in C pretty large, BUT i have been continually since 2.34 and in and out since a limit ordered magically filled at $1
