I'm a freshman to the game, and I'm looking for a mid-level risk stock in the range of .10-.25 to get a portfolio started. I have been told, on good authority, that this company could/should reach upwards of 5 times it's current value in the next 12 months. It has almost tripled in the last six months alone. Understanding that investing solely on a single person's intuition is juvenile, I figured I would let the experts exchange some dialogue in this forum. Along with gathering information on this company, maybe I'll learn a thing or two for the future.

Thoughts on this particular company?

I dont know anything about this company but I wouldnt waste your money trying to hit a homerun right off the bat with a penny stock. FIRST Learn how to trade then, once you get a small comfortable portfolio, add a couple of potential home runs to it.

frankly, the worst, absolute worst, way to start a portfolio is with 'gambling' on penny stocks. for every 1 that 10-20 bags it, there are 99 that fail......

put your money in some index etfs to start off your investing life...unless of course you are trying to lose the $500...

you have an immensely better chance (50%) betting on a sports game to double up than you do betting on a penny stock.
