The way I did it was download bitcoin core( https://bitcoin.org/en/download), install it, and it comes with a wallet application (be sure to 'encrypt' the wallet with a secure password). Next, buy some bitcoins through an exchange (you'll usually have to pay a fee for this). Once you get the bitcoins purchased at the exchange, transfer them to yourself-or rather, to the wallet you just installed on your computer, then just make a new 'sender' from the sender menu, put in the address that the bookie gave you to deposit to, and send it (you will have an option of how long/how much fees to attach). Bitcoin addresses usually look like 1JArS6jzE3AJ9sZ3aFij1BmTcpFGgN86hA (example from blockchain.info) I guess you could skip the part about downloading bitcoin core, and just use an online wallet service, but I'd be leery of leaving very much money in one of these wallets-much safer on your computer, if properly secured, etc. (another good choice is a 'hardware' wallet, like the Ledger Nano, which I have used and like). Anyway, hope that helps a little. It takes a little time and patience, but bitcoin is the way to go in the future!
