Deep/Waiver Wire RBs with most potential

There are many capable young backs out there this year that went undrafted and this could be a year that someone emerges from these ashes as a top bonafide RB. These are guys that mostly went undrafted on ares probably still on your waiver wire. Here are several players on my watch list and any tidbits I may have on them;

Ryan Williams (ARI) - Highly touted back out of VTech drafted 2nd round last year. He was even drafted (fantasy wise) in some leagues last year before his devastating injury. If this guy can regain for form and Beanie reverts to his injury plagued self, you could see this guy take on a feature role with relatively smooth transition.

Robert Turbin (SEA) - Another guy who suffered amajor injury, this one back in hisn college days. He had a solid performance in a preseason game 14 carries, 93 yards and a TD. With all the trouble surrounding Lynch (injury + threat of suspension), this physical specimen could emerge as the backup with an increased load as the season progresses.

Ronnie Hillman (Den) - Smaller guy, cant say Ive seen much of him on tape. He is said to have good hands and could be more formiddable in PPR. Without much knowledge on this guy, Ill say he is a poor man' CJ Spiller. For whatever that last statement is worth. On my watch list but I just do not have much info on this guy.

LaMichael James (SF) - No one can discount his college career. He was in th Heisman running. He has incredible speed and is on a very very good football team that needs playmakers. The backfield is crowded and the QB play iffy. If he can get on the field and play, this guy has some very intriguing potential. Or he is another college great that cant take the bruiing in the NFL. Very deep sleeper.

Lamar Miller (MIA) - Not many miles on this kid. He is on perhaps the least talented team in the league and behind Reggie Bush. Not sure if he has surpasses last years #2 pick Daniel Thomas, who Ive read has "Brandon Jacobs disease." Ive watched this kid in college and he has many of the same qualities as the great Miami backs Edge/McGahee/Gore. Very interested to see his development.

Jon Dwyer (Pitt) - Mixed reports on Mendenhall. And now Redman may be injured. This kid is not very explosive but still a capable back. If you are desperate at RB in week 1, depending on the latest reports he could be worthy of a start as he may get 10-12 touches on the ball.

i drafted Turbin last pick of my draft cause i have Lynch as my starter.. 

williams, hillman, turbin were all drafted and dwyer was just picked up off FA list, James and Miller dont deserve a roster spot and arent possibilities unless we see some injuries to reggie Bush or Frank Gore. Guys in my league are very on-top of players and know their shit, our leagues are very competitive year in and year out.

Seems like Williams and Turbin if they already hadnt been picked up have made some noise and could get serious touches. I have AP on a team and Donald Brown as the backup (Other RB is Chris Johnson). But seriously considering plugging in Turbin here.

Daniel Thomas (MIA) - 2nd round pick last year available in 4/5 leagues Im in. Should Bush go down he's next in the pecking order and also a player who is expected to produce. The currebnt regime has a terrible track record and another botched 2nd rounder could be lethal.

Tim Tebow (NY Jets) ? 

I too have drank from the pond of one Javon Ringer. Unfortuetely, I have to write him off as a potential stud. In fantasy world, he has some value as abviously he will be the handcuff to CJ, shall he go down Javon is up and has more upside in PPR formats for sure.

Anyone remember Deji Karim?

Biz:  even though Lynch is a game time decision and saw practice time friday i think i might go with Turbin also.. 

tough call but would hate to start Lynch and he only gets a handful of touches or see's limited time and gets only a few points..

Slim pickins going into Week 2. I just placed Jarvorskie Lane (Miami) on my watch list. You might remember him from Hard Knocks where he steamrolled a guy on a play in the preseason.

Good story. By no means am I saying he's worth an add until he shows he can be a regular contributor. Maybe he becomes like a Mike Alstott type or he is a regular checkdown option for Tannehill. For those of us who speculate on his goal line value, ask your self this, how many times do you expect the Miami Dolphins to drive it down the length of the field and be in the position for goal line work? Whatever the case even at his cieling he wont be anything more than a borderline flex. Just press the flag button on the player and put em on your watch list.

I notice people are being bullish on Jacquizz Rodgers )ATL). Go ahead. Ive been down that road before. Again he has to go "Missouri" on me and show me what he can do. I think ATL is poised to air it out but they will get conservative with leads and love to hand it off. Mike Turner has been a beast since coming over from San Diego but he is showing signs of slowing down.

The Detroit backfield. What a mess. The potential was great and Jahvid Best was off to the races last season until he was KO'ed. Kevin Smith is inspiring (2600+ yard season in college/8th in Heisman vote) but seems to always get dinged and a 3.9 career average just wont cut it long term. I'm watching like a hawk. I hope Clinton Portis is working out somewhere and itching for an epic comeback. Did anyone kick the tires on Travis Henry this offseason. The last two statements were an attempt at humor.
