Andre Brown for Chris Johnson

I'm willing to dump Chris Johnson for just about any running back at this point. I'd prefer a starter but I'm thinking about accepting this offer. Even with Bradshaw coming back I think Brown may get some goal line looks similar to Brandon Jacobs when he was there. Brown is too good to keep on the sideline, right??

I think so. I would do this deal in a second. Bradshaw may get injured again this season. Even without Bradshaw getting injured, I think Brown will be more productive.

no way, no way, no way.

Your hoping/betting that Bradshaw gets hurt again and/or gets the goal line carries. One thing you should know, last Thursday was the homecoming of Brown is from the Carolina area, so the NYG probably gave him a little extra opp to perform and he had a little more incentive. Don't forget that the Giants have 3 backs and Brown was #3 on the depth charts to start the season.

CJ sucks balls now, but he will be given an opp to perform later on. On principle alone I wouldn't trade CJ for now.

I agree with FrozenTundra. There is too much risk involved in betting a "backup" RB over a starter. It's not like CJ is not going to get 20-30 touches a game every game...so the opportunity is there, even if you're the shittest RB in the league, getting that many touches means sooner or later, you'll get some good games...

Bradshaw may be an injury waiting to happen but I think if you look at his career, he hasn't missed that many games at all!

I think you guys should look at Brown differently than a back up. After his performance last game, Brown is going to get more opportunity to prove himself.

Even when Bradshaw gets back, Coughlin is probably going to give these guys a 65/35 or 60/40 split in carries. They are going to try and work Brown into the platoon more. Coughlin loves two backs and he wanted Wilson to be the guy, but he fumbled on his first carry. Brown will get that opportunity.

I would be willing to say that Brown will have more fantasy points than Johnson by the end of the year.

How many games are you going to wait before CJ might get back to form? 5, 7, 10? Before he finally has a decent to good game.

Week 1 - 11 carries / 6 catches

Week 2 - 8 carries / 2 catches

Week 3 - 14 carries / 1 catch

Total rush yds - 45 / total receiving yds - 63

This was against 3 average at best defenses.

I appreciate the input guys. I'm going to start this bum again this week against Houston, which will no doubt be disastrous.

AP had a decent day against San Fran last week. No TDs, though. Powell may get my starting spot but I'll kick myself if CJ finally gets going and I benched him. That's my luck...

I'm frustrated because I got AP in the 3rd round after drafting CJ and Cruz. My team has so much potential!

Johnson is awful and his OL is awful hes averiging half a yard before contact/also have to remmeber giants coach has moved the rookie wilson to 3rd string cause of fumbling and Brown has clearly earned carries and is the backup now and will get the Goal line carries over Bradshaw / i didnt draft Johnson in any of my leagues wanted nothin to do with him before season even started lol i would pretty much dump him for anything right now if i had him

Quiz Rodgers is getting more and more of a work load every week. He would be a great pick up if you have bench room. I would also consider getting Ringer or whoever is CJ's back up in Tennessee just in case Munchack has enough of him.

Shonn Greene sucks and Powell has some upside. I keep seeing Greene not being able to pick up crucial 3rd and 1's and goal line opportunities. Powell will eventually get those especially if the offense starts taking heat for it. Maybe Tebow might be worth a spot on the bench in that case as well. I wouldn't want to drop anyone that has upside for him just in case.

When screwed in a RB situation, sometimes I start two RBs who will score. This can work well w/ Michael Leshoure and Kevin Smith, for example. Often, if you're missing one, you can trade for the other. Only problem is that this doesn't work when the team is constantly playing from behind.

Leshoure/Smith is a good combo.

Javon Ringer may replace Chris Johnson in the next few weeks. If I were you, I'd keep Chris Johnson and consider picking up Ringer. After all, Jake Locker is playing better, and they play in a weak sauce division (except for Houston).

Or you could consider signing Woodhead and trading for Ridley. If you start both, you'll prob get a TD or two a game.

cj2k is not running decisively pair that with his horrible OLine not good he is a rb 3 till his Oline gets it together

David WIlson is the most talented running back on that team, if he can get past the fumble issues he is going to be a star fantasy player.

I sent out multiple trade proposals before last weeks game, offering CJ for just about anything. I got no takers and a few lousy counter offers including this Andre Brown offer. In hindsight, I'm glad I rejected it and I'm sure that most of the owners in my league now know that I want to dump CJ. Maybe I'll see some better offers coming my way now that he's done something. Another big game this week would be nice. I'm starting both CJ and AP.

As long as the offensive line blocks for CJ he will be alright. proved it this past weekend. I have him also in my league and didnt start im this week. I got burnt. Its all on the O LINE.
