Does anybody know if the consensus picks are based on straight up, or against the spread?

Hello,

If you are referring to the https://contests.covers.com/consensus/topconsensus/all/overall page MLB and NHL would be money-line, while NFL, NBA, NCAAB, NCAAF would be against the spread.

Yes, thank you. I think that is what I am referring to, although I don't see what it has to do with contests! Your answer is what I had suspected, but it doesn't seem to be posted anywhere. Also, a very large percentage of the 'consensus votes' seem to go to the favourites, which made me think they were money line preferences. Thank you.
