Texans 27, Jaguars 13: Arian Foster eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing on the season with 127 and added a touchdown as visiting Houston remained in the AFC South race.
Ryan Fitzpatrick was an efficient 13-of-19 for 135 yards and also ran for a touchdown for the Texans (7-6), who remained two games behind division-leading Indianapolis and visit the Colts next week. J.J. Watt matched his career high with three of Houston's four sacks.
Rookie Blake Bortles finished 20-of-39 for 205 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Jaguars (2-11). Marcedes Lewis had three receptions for 69 yards and Marqise Lee caught five passes for 67, but Jacksonville managed only 74 rushing yards on 22 carries.
Bortles gave the Jaguars an early lead with a 4-yard TD pass to fellow rookie Allen Hurns and, after Randy Bullock's field goal and Fitzpatrick's 4-yard scoring run, Josh Scobee converted a pair of kicks to send Jacksonville to halftime with a 13-10 lead. Houston's defense took over in the second half and limited the Jaguars to 262 total yards on the afternoon.
Alfred Blue's 1-yard plunge with 3:23 left in the third quarter concluded an 84-yard drive and gave the Texans the lead for good. Foster scored from 1 yard out after D.J. Swearinger's interception set up Houston at the Jacksonville 26, and Bullock tacked on his second 44-yard field goal to cap the scoring.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Blue became the first player in Texans history with rushing, receiving and return touchdowns in a season. กญ Foster (1,028) went over 1,000 yards rushing for the fourth time in his career, one more than all other Houston RBs combined. กญ Foster (32) broke a tie with Priest Holmes for the most career 100-yard rushing games by an undrafted player.
