Will a sportsbook cash in a ripped ticket if you tape it?

My stupid phone showed a final in the Spurs game so I ripped the ticket up then I get home and see they won by 7 in OT and I had them at 6.5. I have it all pieced together now but its clearly been ripped up. Anyone know the answer?

I am such a fucking idiot. I am not used to this having to have a ticket stuff. Lesson learned. But I really thought it was a final. My phone showed Grizzlies up by 3 with zeros for the time. WTF.

I was in Vegas during that Steelers/Chargers game where the refs couldn't decide if Troy P's interception touchdown counted or not. There were people piecing tickets back together all over the sportsbook from both sides.

Yea, it has been. Doing well on the NBA playoffs but now I feel like a dumbass ripping up this ticket. I have it all pieced together but I dont know what I should do with it. Should i try taping it or just bring it in in pieces or what.

Were they honoring the torn tickets?

When they finally decided the final score...yes. IF the bar code could be read. Tape it back together from the back and make sure the bar code lines up so the scanner can read it.

There's a number on the ticket in two different places. As long as they can make out the number, they can enter the ticket manually and they'll pay you. If it's really trashed, as long as you can provide them with enough information as far as the type of bet, the amount, when you made the bet, etc they can pull it up on their report. They may put a hold in it and have you fill out a lost ticket form but at least you'll get paid eventually. I hope this helps.

Yes it does. Thank you. Everything can be clearly made out and I even got the barcode to match up pretty well after taping it together so I think they should cash it. They should have a record of the bet being placed from the number and they can look it up and see it has not been cashed in yet and so I should get paid. Lesson learned though. Don't rip up tickets until you are absolutely sure you lost your bet even though in this situation I did actually see a final score. What the hell happened at the end of that game anyways? Did the Spurs get fouled on a 3 with no time left or something to force OT cause my phone showed Grizzlies up 3 with 00:00 on the clock.

true story my dad likse to gamble big and also drink big when winning he tends to bet a litle more last year at saratoga race track he forgot his 100 win ticket at the counter when he made it back to the group relized he had forgoten hes ticket having been dealing with the same ticket puncher all day and tipping her when he won he went right back to her she said someone else must have grabed hes slip but she called a manager over and put a stop on the ticket just incase it won . well long story short the horse won the race and when he returned to the teller she said some one tried to cash the ticket and was told the slip was voided the guy walked away with out a fight (he knew what he did) and my father collected $ 225 for the race i guess it pays to tip and drink heavely

They cashed the ticket without a problem and were real cool about it. They just typed it in manually. I had it all taped together real nice. I am sure I am not the first person to do that. lol. Lesson learned. Crumble never tear.

Don't ever rip a ticket. I've got tickets from 2006 in case they ever reverse the final.

I've done this a few times now......And had to tape one up that was in several small pieces. It was like a tiny jigsaw puzzle. But they were able to punch the numbers manually and paid it. Now I will use my players card when I make a bet which they will track your play, but you earn points for comps for every bet you make. And if you lose a ticket they can pull it up and pay you. This is Station casinos....Not sure if other casinos offer this

You might want to flip those tickets over and read the part where they say "void after 120 days"
