I¡¯m a big napper. I was wondering how you all felt about naps.
I’m over 60 and retired. I sleep whenever I want. And I still party like it’s 1999 whenever and how long I want. So to answer your question, yes, I am a huge fan of naps!!! ROCK ON

I don't take them as often as I could but I am a firm believer in them. Years ago when I was first dating the Mrs we had a conversation about not trusting anyone who didn't like naps. I knew it was love.

My work shift was 0530-2pm+ when I was working, so yeah, I napped sometimes after work. But then I struggled to get to sleep at a decent time........rinse, repeat.........

Naps are healthy. In busy world, many people aren't getting enough sleep which may adversely affect their health. Importance of sleep is underrated in helping body recover.

Depends on what one considers a nap. If one knocks out for a few hours in the middle of the day, is that a nap? Or is a nap only 20 minutes to an hour? A cat nap, if you will. I've knowm people who enter rem sleep particularly fast and can tell you about a dream after an hour long nap. They probably entered a dream state 50-55 minutes after falling asleep and dreamed a few minutes before waking, which is when the most vivid and easily remembered dreams usually occur. I very rarely have remembered dreams and i'm thankful for this. I have very vivid dreams. As a child I would have occurences of lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis ...things you want no parts of. Even now, every blue moon i'll have a night terror. Lucid dreams can be very cool bur sleep paralysis and night terrors are horrible. Especially sleep paralysis because you're semi awake. You can often see and hear but can't move or talk. And they can be accompanied by images of monsters and shit. Maybe something standing over your wife and you're powerless to protect her. It takes everything inside of you to "break free", usually in the form of a flailing outburst, which is how one usually snapa out of a night terror so it all goes hand in hand.
