Train, what are your thoughts on the total in the UNLV-BSU game? The teams combined for a total of 53 in the dome at UNLV. Temps in this one will be in the high 20s and it could be a little foggy. 57.5 seems a mite high to me, given the conditions, and the Rebels aren't used to cold temps. Thoughts?

I concur. Should be some slower play with the conditions and the higher stakes of the game.....Obviously Jeanty is gonna get a bunch of carries.....and you would think the Rebels would make an effort to stop him and make the QB beat them.....not sure why teams haven't been selling out to stop him instead of allowing him to run for 200 yards a game and beat them.....but I'm no coach.... thumbs_down

Would look at 1st H too....might be some jitters and vanilla game plan to opening the game..... peace_5

Actually he's been playing against eight man fronts a lot of the time. But he's like a battering ram, and by the fourth quarter teams are worn out trying to contain him. an_roll_laugh

I mean go all out...force the action, not react to it....Jeanty doesn't run wide much or get pitches....im run blitzing and plugging the C and D gaps (which will congest the A & B games naturally).....then I'm sending guys randomly off the edges....creating havoc isn't that hard against a team with a mediocre QB which I consider Madsen to be......

Yeah, Maddog isn't great, but he's only thrown three picks all year and he's rarely sacked. He needs to play his A game tonight.

Probably a good strategy for Iowa St. to use against Skattebo as well, especially with ASU's top receiver out.
