Bonzo was still in somewhat good Shape banging away. Jonesys Base makes your heart skip beats, jimmy floating on air before Michael Jackson and Plants voice was flowing.
Probably their last great tour.

@lennon65
I met John Paul when he was playing with Them Crooked Vultures. Jesus, I wish I would've been alive to see them live.

I have been a Huge Zeppelin Fan for most of my life and I have collected several Bootlegs Of Them Over The Years
The 1977 US Tour sure had a Great Set List Including : The Acoustic Set which stands out for me and always a good long "No Quarter".
Personally I would take The " For Badge Holders Only' LA Forum 6-23 -77 ( Keith Moon Show) or
Or Either Of the 2 " Destroyer " Box sets from the 2 nights in Cleveland April 1977 over that Seattle Show.
I am proud to say I still have my Box set which I bought in 1983 !!!
My Best Friend Peter who is a great guitar player and Zep Fanatic Like me ,Swears The Best Zeppelin Show he has heard is
Osaka Japan 9-29-1971.. I know it has been Remastered for a Possible Future Live Release.. I have only heard the " Friends " off of it
Hate to say it but The Pre Heroin Page shows ( Up to 1973) are usually the better shows .

when i was a testosterone filled teen in the early 80's all we had live was TSRTS. That got me hooked. even got Flight of Icarus on my left arm when i was in the navy in Italy from '84-'86.
it's a conversation piece now.
Great Band. I feel the Same about the Old AC-DC and Skynard. Great Live Bands

Then when they scheduled the 1980 tour,the day tickets went on sale for the Chicago shows, you had to mail in a form from a full page add in either the Chicago SunTimes or the Tribune to get tickets,John Bonham past away that day.And that was the last chance I would ever get to see them play live.

Yeah it was the third of four shows in Chicago 1977 that was canceled when Jimmy Page was dope sick or had food poisoning or whatever. I was there, Page didn¡¯t look right from the start, and he sat on a chair for the last one or two songs. At the time I figured he had a bad buzz going on, and the knuckleheads in the cheap seats throwing strings of firecrackers just made things worse.
Back in those days you paid attention to the radio for announcements when tickets were going on sale. We learned the day before, and 4 of us drove the 40 miles to Chicago Stadium to camp out for tickets. Got there at 7pm, finally got my tickets 11am next morning. Some crazy stuff happened in those 16 hours. All in all, it was a fun experience, even tho we got shortchanged on the canceled concert. But I saw Zep before, in 1975, so I did get to see a full concert.
