I saw Tennessee legalized online betting and MGM now has sports book app there ( coincidentally on a sports book link under sports in yahoo section.)
got to thinking....
could you pay a provider in Tennessee that provides (desktop as a service) on VMware architecture to be able to login and place wagers legally from within the Tennessee boarder . Something like this could easily be accessed through a Horizon client on your cell phone. Would this beat Geo tagging? If not , what are some experiences you have?
This gets you a bit closer to legit with hardware validation in the state, you are not utilizing a vpn ..... looking for thoughts? Feedback.

It would be very simple for them to look at the IP Address of where you placed the bet, see that it is a data center and invalidate you.
They could also have all data center IP Address on black list.
It would probably be tough to find a VMWare provider that will guarantee a Tennessee IP Address. The big ones will have multiple locations in different geographic areas.
They also probably make you prove residency through drivers license, etc before you sign up.
It might work, but if you won big you would not be paid IMO. If you had a friend that lives there and created an account, you could probably get away with signing into his computer to place bets under his name.

I see a lot wrong with this:

They only allow bets to be placed on a mobile device using their app that doesnt allow any other apps that interfere with geotagging (like a vpn) to be running.
Someone can correct me if I am wrong - but you can't bet on a PC.
Support your local animal shelter. I am on twitter.

I think it is even simpler than that....

Nah they give you a choice, they just report a network disconnect if you place wager outside geofence. Blacklist would be difficult for them to do over a range of IPs. Most providers in a large colo won¡¯t backhaul traffic to other sites. At least not the ones I have worked at. Still interested to see how they would call it out. For the intent of the law you are physically placing a wager in the geofence for compliance.

I was going to make a thread on this and probably still will but you sound informed as fuck so I'll ask you-- basically i got restricted from william hill after winning sort of big on Biden(also had five years of more modest success on sports) and all the other sites apart from them that offer politics futures offer them at very low limits (250 bucks and under). So I got a buddy in a Bet Fair approved country who said he's cool with me registering as him and he will send in all the information and shit and i can just use a vpn to login, place bets, trade on the exchange, all that. I've tried my vpn and it lets me go on and do everything but my concern is what if this gets discovered... i actually decided to ask Bet Fair what happens if they find out people are, in anyway, violating their terms of service and they said the most they can do is deny you winnings but they can never refuse to return your original deposit. Do you buy that?
