Thousands of Americans are waiting in food lines for hours but you can help. Here's what I did & you can do the same.
I visited with store Managers at 2 local Publix grocery stores. They are selling frozen turkeys @49 cents a pound. I made a deal to buy any turkeys not sold after Thanksgiving paying 25 cents a pound & up to $250 per store.
So for $500 I will get close to a hundred turkeys to donate to our South Florida Food Bank.
Step up and help those in need. Visit with mangers in you local grocery stores & see if they are willing to make a similar deal to feed your neighbors.
Don't let these families & our veterans go hungry.

Whatever your Thanksgiving plans are, you can make it better by helping someone less fortunate than you.
Many families are waiting in food lines for the first time in their lives & the depression levels are sky high. Parents are embarrassed asking for help but folks like us that can blow a hundy on a game Thursday without thinking twice can do something about it. You may not know how to go about helping someone but here's a simple way.
Your local police and fire departments know who in the community are in need. You can give them a hundy & they can get what is needed for 3-4 families. They will arrange for the local grocery store to package everything & they will be happy to deliver the meals. They won't give the addresses of those in need to you for obvious privacy issues. It's no too late to act. Do it tomorrow morning & the karma will arrive when you need it the most.
You might even need the karma during the Lions game on Thursday.

My wife & I had to make 2 trips to the Food Bank this morning & they had to open the back gate for us to enter because there were hundreds of cars in line waiting for food @ 9am.
Many in our country are in dire need & are going hungry in our land of plenty. Don't let it continue.
Get off your asses and do something!
