Can someone please explain this to me we got 12 teams in OK first round is eight teams four games why the fuck does Oregon and Georgia get a bye but number three and four Texas and Penn State have to play and meanwhile Boise State and Arizona State get a buy when they are nine and 11 I don¡¯t fucking get it

Because Boise State and Arizona State won their conference. Conference winners get the first round bye.

there are 4 power conferences. each championship game winner gets a bye (boise non p4 but ranked higherthan acc champ), rest get seeded accordingly.

The committee has put together these games in the first round because no one wants to see blowouts and they need to keep viewership as well as keep the sports books happy.
