Sadly, looks like Alabama will be out of the playoffs.  SMU will take the last playoff spot.  The Clemson coach said SMU should be in the playoffs, so it is a done deal!

SMU did enough to earn a spot.

Indiana only played 2 good teams. Michigan and Ohio St.

They beat Michigan by 5 at home and got blown out by Ohio St.

There might be a possibility they leave Indiana out and replace with Alabama.

They can't. They lost by a field goal. All this would show is that playing in a Conference championship game is more penalizing than rewarding. 

Alabama will play Penn St.  @ State

Dabo is right about SMU but it is in the hand of the so-called committee to determine the faith of the twelve team. IMHO I believe it will be the Tide

While I think BAMA is better than SMU, they had their chances.   They know going in that playing in the SEC that every game is like a playoff game.

That being said, you would think that by picking 12 teams you wouldn't leave a team out that has a ligament chance of winning it all.   But, do we really want a college National Champ with a loss to Vandy?
