4-0 last night. A nice little heater over the last three days (14-3-1).
Army +10
When GW lost Garrett Johnson for the year, before a second had been played, GW was in for trouble, but helped by a very weak non-con schedule. Only having one win (of eight total) vs a team ranked 177th or better, doesn't move the needle for me. Army is, as you'd imagine, scrappy and compete hard. Nothing about this game says it gets to more than single digits for the Knights. Also, when the hell did GW change their name from Colonials to Revolutionaries???
Merrimack -4.5
BU has beaten absolutely nobody and really, aside from UCLA, haven't even played anyone to note. Merrimack has atleast played tough games, which definitely will serve them well tonight. Terriers are a 3pt reliant team, who turn the ball over a TON. The strength of this Warriors team is its defense, and they should get plenty of extra possessions tonight. They also shoot FTs very well, so if things are tight late, we should be able to rely on them to make the important ones.
Nebraska -4
Not a lot to this one for me. Nebraska at home, in the Hoiberg era, have been very, very good. IU hasn't played in an opposing gym yet, and this one gets LOUD! Usually it's the length advantage that suits the Hoosiers, but they don't have much of one tonight, and with how the Huskers defend and the IU tendency to cough the ball up, I think NEB runs away with this one.
Colorado -9.5
Over the years I've gotten to know a couple St. Louis Blues players, and something they always talked about when it came to elevation (playing in Denver mainly), was how going there during the regular season wasn't a big deal, cause you're in and out in 24-48 hours usually. But the playoffs, when you're there for 3-7 days is when it really hits you. And that's what the SDSU Jacks are facing tonight. Just got beat by double digits in Reno on Wednesday, and now they stay in elevation (actually a bit higher) and get another tough home court to play on. Just don't see how they Jacks have the legs to stay in this one in the second half.
