NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Needing a win desperately to keep their long-shot playoff hopes alive, the Oakland Raiders found it in a place where every visiting team finds success.
Quarterback Derek Carr's 12-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Seth Roberts with 1:21 left lifted Oakland to a 24-21 win Sunday over the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.
Carr, who completed 24 of 37 passes for 330 yards and three scores, led a 90-yard scoring drive after Tennessee (2-9) grabbed a 21-17 lead on a 1-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Marcus Mariota to fullback Jalston Fowler at the 4:41 mark.
The Titans appeared to stop the Raiders (5-6) when Carr's fourth-and-8 throw into the end zone fell incomplete with just under two minutes, but cornerback B.W. Webb was flagged for holding.
After a 19-yard completion to tight end Mycal Rivera, Carr found Roberts on a fade pattern in the left front corner of the end zone to snap Oakland's three-game losing streak.
Tennessee's last drive ended when Mariota threw his second interception to safety Nate Allen at the Raiders' 38-yard line with 43 seconds left.
Mariota completed 17 of 37 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns, surpassing Vince Young's franchise rookie passing record of 2,199 yards. But it wasn't enough to prevent the Titans from dropping their 11th straight home game, dating back to October of 2014.
Mariota's 20-yard scoring strike to tight end Craig Stevens with 5:53 left in the first quarter gave Tennessee a 6-0 lead. Carr responded with a 7-yard touchdown toss to wide receiver Michael Crabtree at the 1:34 mark to make it 7-6.
Kicker Sebastian Janikowski made a 24-yard field goal with 1:01 left in the first half, giving Oakland a 10-6 halftime lead.
Carr and Roberts connected on a 10-yard scoring strike with 10:45 left in the third quarter, Roberts eluding a tackle attempt from cornerback Perrish Cox, for a 17-6 advantage.
Mariota answered back, hitting wide receiver Harry Douglas for a 13-yard touchdown pass at the 6:22 mark of the third.
