Matt Hasselbeck connected for three touchdown passes, pacing the Tennessee Titans to a 31-13 win over the Cleveland Browns at Cleveland Browns Stadium Sunday.
The win snapped a six-game road losing skid for the Titans (3-1) and marked Tennesseeกฏs fourth win in its last five trips to Cleveland.
Titans running back Chris Johnson finally broke out of his early-season funk, rushing for 100 yards on 23 carries. A 25-yard first-quarter dash seemed to be the catalyst for Johnson, who entered the game with only 98 yards rushing.
Hasselbeck passed for 220 yards, including an 80-yard catch-and-run to tight end Jared Cook, who outran the coverage and tiptoed down the sideline for the score to open the second quarter. Cook finished with just two receptions for 93 yards.
Cleveland star running back Peyton Hillis, who was still recovering from strep throat, was limited in action and rushed only 10 times for 46 yards.
Backup Montario Hardesty got the majority of carries, rushing for 22 yards and catching five balls for 49 yards as the Browns fell to 2-2.
Browns quarterback Colt McCoy threw for 350 yards and a touchdown, finding tight end Ben Watson all alone in the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown connection in the fourth quarter.
A scrambling McCoy gave up a 97-yard interception return to Jordan Babineaux that put Tennessee ahead 31-6 with 2:49 left in the third quarter.
A 48-yard field goal from Browns kicker Phil Dawson marked the first time Cleveland has scored in the first quarter this season.
