Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea meet this Sunday in the final game of a fun slate of Premier League games.
Chelsea are in red-hot form, while Spurs are wildly inconsistent, which is why our Tottenham Hotspur vs. Chelsea predictions are expecting an away win and more pressure on Ange Postecoglou.

My analysis
The final Premier League game of Sunday’s slate serves up an interesting London derby with Tottenham welcoming Chelsea across the city. It’s a game that is always exciting and shouldn’t be any different this weekend, with both teams capable of dynamic attacking play.
Despite sharing an attacking ethos, that’s where the similarities end, with Chelsea entering the weekend second in the Premier League, while Spurs are languishing midtable with manager Ange Postecoglou under pressure.
Tottenham’s struggles continued in the week and they got beaten 1-0 by an underrated Bournemouth team. After that game, a section of the traveling Spurs support was very vocal in what they thought of Postecoglou, just furthering the pressure that the Australian is under. That performance was everything we’ve seen from Spurs this year, they dominated possession, and had some good attacking periods but looked weak at the back and ultimately came up short.
They seem to play better against the bigger teams, as seen by big wins over Aston Villa (4-1) and Man City (4-0) this season. Despite that, our best bet of the game is Chelsea to win at +102. Spurs appear to be entering a death spiral and they’re still missing key defensive pieces in Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. They are really needed back on the field if Postecoglou wants to keep his job.
On the flip side of that Chelsea are riding a wave, they’re genuine title contenders, which nobody expected before the season kicked off. They’ve won three in a row and come into this having rested Nicolas Jackson and Levi Colwill midweek. Both teams have conceded 15 goals this season and there’s an argument that perhaps Chelsea have been marginally lucky defensively, with an xG (expected goals) against of 21.07, six goals more than the 15 they’ve actually conceded.
However, the real strength of Chelsea is their attack. Jackson is blossoming into a very good Premier League striker, Cole Palmer is currently the best British player in the division and either side of him is a rotating cast of good, direct wingers. There’s real speed in the way Chelsea attack, making them a nightmare to play against. Both of Spurs’ wingbacks Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie can leave holes at the back and a central defensive duo of Radu Dragusin and potentially a half-fit Romero, is one that might struggle against pace. Chelsea have been so dominant this season that they should be back at plus money against all but maybe two or three teams in the Premier League.
Tottenham vs Chelsea same-game parlay (SGP)
As well as backing Chelsea to win we’re also going to bet on goals, with Over 2.5 goals in total. The data backs this up as a great choice too. In seven home games for Tottenham this season we’ve seen three or more goals in five of them. We’ve also seen five of seven away games for Chelsea hitting that magic mark too.
Chelsea rested Nicolas Jackson midweek, meaning the Senegalese striker should get the start here. He’s had a great season so far, bagging eight goals in 13 Premier League games and finally putting an end to talk that Chelsea need to sign a new striker. Against a weak Spurs’ defense, he should be able to feast and get a ninth, or maybe even a 10th goal.
