I had no bet on the Yanks but Cole was in a good groove and showed no signs of fatigue when he was pulled-money/analytics has ruined the role of the true ace starter in MLB--I was happy in 2020 when Cash for the Devil Rays pulled Snell and I won my LAD bet but sad for the game when a guy with a hot hand is pulled with a pitch count in the 70s! ; Happy at least to grow up in the 80s when guys would go the distance!

Not sure what you Yankee fans are squawking about. Cole was hit hard throughout the game with bombs to the fence and warning track that were caught. He was also seeing the top of the Dodger lineup coming up for the 4th time, plus Roberts pulled Flaherty after 90 pitches when Stanton went yard. Do the Yankees not have a bullpen?
