carrying cash

I know there was another forum about this awhile back but I'm going to ask anyway...

What can I do instead of carrying cash to Vegas?

I have no problem walking around with a couple thousand in my pocket, but when you're at the airport they want you to empty your pockets, and tossing a money clip of hundreds into the plastic bin for security kinda sucks. Money orders...you need to address it to a specific place right? Would I get a receipt to write off for tax purposes? Could use a card, but then I'd have to deal with fees and such.

 Of course...then once on the plane take it out and pocket it

Or maybe find a nice bright pink fanny pack to wear while on the strip too!

 Paper currency is fine to keep in your pocket thru the gate. Just make sure they weren't the same c-notes u were using at a non-sanctioned family fun-fest... ..

NJDevils-Doesn't your wallet have cards with bar codes and stuff? Almost positive that alerts the alarm.

I always carry my cash OUTSIDE OF MY WALLET, FOLDED  IN A THICK RUBBERBAND. You do not have to pull this out. & if so just flash is to show its MONEY & not a BOMB. Carrying cash to Vegas is No Problem.

Do not place the $$ in your Wallet. 

Last time I just carried a money clip, and my wallet is just a card holder with a money clip.
